Jenny's students at Cumberland Pencil Museum in Keswick
I will be demonstrating again for Derwent at the Cumberland Pencil Museum 18-19 May 2010 and running a workshop there on Thursday 20 May, see www.pencilmuseum.co.uk. I will also be at the Derwent stand at the Patchings Art Festival from 10-13 June 2010. I am also contributing three articles to Leisure Painter magazine in 2010. As an artist, I am inspired by what I see, whether it be a kingfisher zipping down the river, a much-loved pet or a (very wet!) day in Monet’s garden, see Gallery pages for more examples of my work. My first love is painting and drawing animals and birds, although I also enjoy floral subjects. Since leaving the academic world of art and design history, I have exhibited paintings at venues including Southampton Art Gallery, Best of Hampshire Artists (Hillier Gardens), Marwell Zoo and the Red House Museum in Christchurch and regularly exhibit with Romsey Art Group at Lee Gallery and Romsey Show and with the New Forest Art Society in Lyndhurst and at the New Forest Show.
